Neta is a PhD candidate in the Department of Developmental Biology at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. She is a fellow of the Abish-Frenkel program for outstanding PhD students. Under the guidance of Dr. Yaniv Elkouby, she studies germline stem cells (GSCs) within zebrafish and human ovaries. Her research aims to uncover the mechanisms that enable lifelong egg production in zebrafish and to identify the missing factors in humans. Her work is vital for understanding women’s reproductive aging, particularly as egg reserves deplete over time.
Sharing her love for science with children, Neta works with kids in the after-school enrichment program called PICO Kids, which focuses on STEM education. In her spare time, Neta enjoys playing sports and going to sporting events and is a big NBA fan.
